Senior Project Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO

Tess Sammarco serves as Senior Project Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO of The Prairie Group. In other words, Tess keeps the “trains running!” Previously, she was a Project Manager for Conlon Public Strategies and Edelson PC Law Firm. She is an Adjunct Professor at University of Illinois at Chicago where she has taught Master Level classes to foreign exchange students in healthcare, with a focus on American Culture. Tess also works part-time at a local elementary school as a Paraprofessional. She is studying for her Illinois Teaching License. And, when she really has some free time she runs Marathons and 50K Trail runs through neighborhoods, mountains, woods, along oceans, lakes and streams!

Tess is a graduate from Marquette University with a Bachelors of Science in Writing Intensive English. She went on to receive her MA in Higher Education from Carthage College. She also is a level-one Sommelier, hosting private wine tasting events in her neighborhood.

Tess resides in the Western Suburbs with her husband, Adam, a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney and her two children, Parker and Marigold (aka, Goldie!).

The Illinois Medical District is the largest urban medical district in the United States. The IMD was going through a major reorganization, undertaking a new, fresh and ambitious vision. With a new strategic plan in place, we knew we needed to hire a public affairs firm to help us achieve our goals.
